Control Moisture in Your Hive Keep your bees safe and happy during winter with the 10-frame quilt box. This hive topper helps control moisture and prevent condensation, which can harm your bees. Just fill with wood shavings to provide insulation (you supply). Place the quilt box on the top of your hive (typically, it goes on top of your inner cover). The shavings absorb the moisture (we recommend using pine shavings). The quilt box can also be used in the summer without shavings to provide ventilation during the hot winter months. Features screened bottom with four 1" screened ventilation holes. Handcrafted by an Amish family who raises their own bees. Fits our 10-frame bee hives and components. Arrives fully assembled.
