How do I remove a decal?
Removing decals from a wall is a little trickier than removing them from other surfaces. Here are a few things that you can try to do:
1. Test a small area first: test the decal or a small, inconspicuous area of the wall before you start to make sure the removal method won't damage the paint or surface.
2. You can use a hairdryer or heat gun set at a low temperature to heat the decal and soften the adhesive. Place the heat source a few inches from the decal and move the heat source back and forth. Be careful not to overheat the area or the paint.
3. Gently peel off the decal: Gently lift the edge of the decal with your fingernail, a plastic scraper or a credit card once the adhesive has warmed up. Peel off slowly, applying even pressure. Keep the angle as close to the wall as possible. If the decal resists, apply more heat and continue peeling.
