#100/16 Titanium-Coated Topstitch Needles

Topstitch Needles – Long-Lasting & Thread-Friendly. Topstitch Needles are designed for quilters and sewists who want durability and fewer thread breaks. Each pack includes five needles with a thin titanium nitride coating, less than 5 microns thick (a human hair is about 70 microns). This coating adds no bulk but provides exceptional durability, keeping the needle sharper for longer. Compared to standard nickel-plated needles, titanium-coated needles last over five times longer and resist wear over twice as much as chromium-plated needles.

These needles feature a deeper groove and larger eye, giving threads more space and reducing friction. That means less shredding, fewer breaks, and smoother stitching, even with delicate or decorative threads like silk, metallic, or invisible threads. The rounded sharp point protects knit and woven fabrics, preventing tearing.

Recommended Sizes:

• #70/10 – Best for appliqué and quilting with very fine threads (Invisible, 60 wt., 100 wt.)

• #80/12 – Great for quilting and sewing with fine 50 wt. threads

• #90/14 – Ideal for quilting with medium threads (40 wt.)

• #100/16 – Suited for quilting with heavy threads (30 wt. and up, Longarm, Jeans Stitch)
